House. Late C17 with early C19 alterations and mid- to late C19 additions
and remodelling. Rendered timber frame with rendered masonry additions;
plain tile 2-span roof. 2 framed bays with additions at rear. One storey
and attic. 2 gabled semi-dormers with early C19 sixteen-pane glazing bar
sashes and mid-to late C19 plain barge boards with pendant finials;
external brick end stacks, integral brick end stack to left of rear
parallel range, and integral brick end stack to wing at rear. Framing:
(concealed): square panels with long straight tension braces. 2-window
front; glazing bar sashes with horns. Central half-glazed panelled
door with margin lights and early C19 panelled-pilastered surround and
porch with square columns and frieze. Interior: exposed timber framed
walls. This house is in a prominent position at the cross-roads in the
centre of the village.
