Built 1640. Large red sandstone ashlar house, remodelled circa mid C19 and with
additions at rear of circa early C20. Two storeys and attic. Three bay gabled
front, centre recessed with slightly projecting porch with degressed 2-centred
arch. C19 wooden mullioned and transomed windows in enlarged openings. Large
external side chimney stacks with set-offs and C19 brick shafts. Tiled roof.
Including circa C17 timber framed outbuilding at rear (north-west).
Interior: Panelled room on east side of house contains circa mid C17 chimney
piece of wood.
