Two barns in single range. East barn, to right, is late C18-early C19, of
coursed limestone rubble with C20 corrugated asbestos roof, half-hipped at right
end. This barn is of 5 bays, with vent slits and C20 sliding doors to central
cart entry. Triple butt purlin roof on tie-beam and high collar trusses with
struts to principals. West barn, to left, is mid-late C19, with loft over
vehicle bays at left end. Also of coursed limestone rubble but with plain tile
roof. Barn part is of approximately 4 bays with off-centre sliding cart doors.
Part to left has 3 doors, sliding vehicle doors, and 2 loft doors with small
gables above. Additional lower bay with chimney at extreme left end. A long
imposing range. Included for group value.
