Farmhouse, now house. Main block is mid C17 remodelling of older, probably
medieval, house; earlier late C16/early C17 cross wing to left. Coursed
limestone rubble to left, squared and coursed stone to main block; gabled roof,
cross-wing being hipped to rear, of interlocking concrete tiles; stone end
stack. 2-unit plan with cross-wing to left. 2 storeys. Main block of 2-window
range has timber lintel over C20 window set in central blocked doorway and
chamfered timber lintels over C20 casements; similar casements to gable end of
cross-wing, which has C20 entry to rear. Central stair-turret to rear has 2
doveholes. Interior: main block has winder stairs rising to attic; chamfered
beams; main room to left (former hall) has C17 quartered and heavily chamfered
beams of inserted floor and open fireplace with plain stone surround to left.
Left wing has stop-chamfered beam and joists in front room, chamfered doorframe,
and transverse timber-framed partition.
