House. c1770-80 for Thomas Southam; flanking polygonal wings added c1818 for Thomas
Thornhill; further C19 additions to left and rear. Limestone ashlar; hipped Welsh
slate roof; stone end stacks. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 3 storeys;
symmetrical 5-window range with raised storey bands. Semi-circular arch over C20
door. Flat stone arches over 6-pane sashes. Flanking polygonal blocks with sashes
added c1819. Mid C19 rear additions and extension to left of 1887. Interior
inspection not possible but noted as having early C19 staircase with wrought-iron
balustrade.
