Inscription gives "Mrs Sarah Nowell's School 1822". 2 storeyed rubble with
a Welsh slate hipped roof and 2 2-light casement windows. 6-panel central
door with trellis porch. At the back is a brick pent.
History:- In 1820 the Rev Thomas Nowell endowed the school in Iffley with
4 shares of £100 each in the Oxford Canal. (Gardner's Gazetteer of Oxfordshire
(1852), 801).
