Viaduct. 1770 designed by Smeaton, widened 1992. Red brick. 13 round arches with
buttresses between, plus brick parapets topped by ashlar coping, will scrolled and
ramped ends with round brick piers. Part of Smeaton's Causeway built as
improvements to the Great North Road by John. Sweaton. Part of this viaduct also
lies within the Parish of Newark.
