NY 75 SE WEST ALLEN NINEBANKS SCHOOL

Former central block of Ninebanks School, originally probably headmaster's
house, later the caretaker's house. c.1845. Rubble with dressings; slate
roof. 2 storeys, 1 wide bay. Left of centre boarded door with 5-pane
overlight. 16-pane sash windows with diamond panes of coloured glass at
intersections,in moulded boxes; tooled and margined lintels and sills. Coped
gables with kneelers; stepped stone stack on left gable, stepped corniced stone
stack on right gable. Rear outshut.
