House and forge, c.1850. East bay of forge a later addition. Coursed rubble
with tooled-and-margined quoins and tooled dressings; slate roof. House 2
storeys, 2 bays. Half-glazed door in rustic wooden porch on far left; 9-pane
sash windows. Coped gables with moulded kneelers, corniced end stacks.
Single-storey forge to right, 2+1 bays, 16-pane sash windows. Coped right
gable, louvred vent on ridge. All openings in chamfered stone surrounds with
slightly-projecting sills. Right return shows similar 16-pane sash. Rear
elevation shows similar fenestration to house, 2 boarded doors and C20 sliding
door to forge.
Interior of forge shows blocked segmental arch to former furnace at west end.
