Drinking fountain as Boer War Memorial, c.1902. Grey and pink granite.
Circular drum with moulded plinth and cornice; small basin on east and trough
on north, both with moulded edges. On side of drum inscription to Smith Bewick
and William Coxon, who fell at Shoreman's Drift and Rheinosterfontein, South
Africa, in 1901. Vase rests on drum, under domed canopy with ball finial
(removed for repair at time of survey) on 4 columns.
