12/57 The Glebe House

House. Late C17. Coursed limestone rubble, thatched roof, brick ridge and end
stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic. Large C20 slate-roofed stone porch in angle
between ranges. 2-light casement windows with stop-chamfered lintels to range
facing street. 3-light casements to ground and first floors of gable end of
projecting range and to first floor of left side and 2-light attic-window. C20
single-storey extension to left, single-storey lean-to extension to right with
datestone inscribed BA 1842. Interior has chamfered spine beams, a
bolection-moulded corner fireplace and dog-leg staircase with turned balusters.
