Four houses. 1860-64 for Lady Overstone, extended C20. Squared coursed lias with
slate roof. Originally each of 2-unit plans. 2 storeys. Together comprising a
4-window range of double sashes, with glazing bars (one replaced), under flat
arch heads with ashlar surrounds. The centre 2 bays break forward with gables
above and slit windows in the apex. C20 doors set in original wooden cames.
Porches to left and right of Nos.2 and 3. Oversailing eaves and brick and stone
stacks at ridge. Nos.1 and 4 have C20 extensions to far left and right which are
not of special architectural interest. Interiors not inspected. Included for
group value.
