Town house, now offices. Mid C19 and 1890. Stucco on masonry
walls; dry Delabole slate hipped roof with projecting eaves
over a moulded cornice. Double-depth plan. 2-storey 1-window
1890 range on the left plus 3-storey 2-window range on the
right including recessed canted former entrance bay on the
corner. 1890 bay has pointed-arched openings including
traceried window over doorway with 6-panel door and overlight.
Main block has channelled rustications to ground floor and
quoin rustications and mid-floor strings with hood moulds of
1st-floor windows rising over strings to form aprons of top
windows; 4-pane horned sashes within moulded architraves to
2nd floor and eared architraves to 1st floor. Ground floor has
C20 window within pilastered opening with moulded hood on
brackets, on the left and former doorway (now with C20 window)
on the corner with pilastered doorcase with open segmental
pediment. Barras Place has 3-window return with string courses
and hood over 2nd-floor string on the left; blind above;
window on its right with margin panes and coloured glass,
otherwise horned sashes. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for
group value.
