House. C17 core to left with C18 and C19 additions. Left part: flint and
brick rubble with brickwork above; right part: red brick with rendered
plinth. Hipped pantile roof. 2 brick chimneys. 2 storeys and attic; 5
first-floor windows. 6-panelled (2 glazed) door in centre of right part has
plain reveals and is flanked by plain pilasters under a pediment. Tripartite
sash window with glazing bars to left has traces of an earlier window-head.
Other windows have flat gauged brick arches with keyblocks on ground floor and flush-
fronted frames with timber lintels on the first floor. Box cornice. Left wing
has a ground-floor casement and tripartite sashes on the first floor, with
traces of brick jambs to earlier wider window. Stone inscribed DB (no date
visible) beside straight joint. Door to lean-to passage on left. 2-storey
extension to right has one first-floor window and a canted ground floor bay
to left of a half-glazed door in simple doorcase with small hood. Straight
joint at rear does not correspond with that on the front elevation. Brick
quoins in side wall indicate probable rear extension of C17 range. Main
part has brick inscribed A-B 1795 beside back door.
