formerly Nethergate
End.
GV II

House. Early C16 with a C17 2-bay addition to south of stack. Rendered timber
frame with thatched roof. 2 storeys with attic. C20 metal casement windows
with glazing bars. Gabled porch, 3 dormers and later extensions to side
and rear. One off-centre axial stack and one later gable-end stack. Frame
of heavy scantling with wide chamfers. Opposing former doorways to northern
end with arched jambs to western door. First floor formerly open to queen
post roof. One surviving truss with massive arch braced tie and braces from
queen posts to collar.
