Boundary cross. C16 with several subsequent restorations. Limestone. Square
chamfered and moulded base on two risers with tapered square section shaft
with corner-rolls. Coved capital with shields on each face surmounted by
a plain restored cross. The base is surrounded by plain C19 iron railings.
The north face of the shaft is inscribed "Repaired AD 1834 P.Baines
Architect", below the inscription a cast plaque commemerating repair and
fencing 1899. The western face of the shaft is inscribed "Repaired AD 1820"
and "REPARATA TEMPORE THOMAE HICKERING ARMIGERI MAIORIS CIVITATIS NOR.1676".
Marks the boundary of jurisdiction between Great Yarmouth and the City of
Norwich. Scheduled Ancient Monument County No. 32 .
