Parish church now redundant. Medieval and later. Flint; thatched roof.
Western vestry, nave, south porch, chancel. Vestry of 1924 in place of
tower which fell in 1882, remains visible on west wall of nave. Buttressed
nave of 3 bays with 2 lancet lights to west. To south 3 2-light C19
Decorated windows. To north, door to first bay; C19 2-light window to third
bay. Buttressed chancel with Y-tracery window under hood mould with figure
stop; priest's door; late medieval 2-light triangular headed window. East
window C19 3-light under 4-centred arch. Passage through buttress to
south-east corner. 2 storey porch with bell now in upper storey to first
nave bay. Interior. Nave roof with simple ashlaring; scissor braced; C20
queen-posts with arched braces to purlins and collar beam. Remains of rood
stair. Plain hammerbeam chancel roof. Wall painting to north. Poppy-head
bench ends, one with an elephant on shoulder; two with barrels; one each
with mythical beasts, man and lion, 2 dogs fighting. Listed Grade I for
the roofs.
