House. Probably early C17. English bond brick, flint. Thatched roof.
Rectangular in plan. Facade of 2 storeys, 3 bays. Flint plinth. Central
doorway with reveals rendered in imitation of ashlar. Rendered blank panel
over. To either side of the doorway a 5-light brick mullioned and transomed
window with ovolo moulding, that to left renewed c1970. Diamond leaded
panes. Hood moulds over. 3 further mullioned and transomed windows to
the upper floor, the central one of 3 lights, the others of 4 lights, all
renewed. All windows having rendered reveals. Crowstepped gables. Gable
end stacks with bases for paired polygonal shafts. Right hand gable has
2 blocked attic lights with hood mould; gable above renewed. Rear has
single light opening beside stack, a 5-light renewed mullioned window above
a break in the flint plinth and 2 renewed 3-light mullioned windows. First
floor has 3 3-light renewed mullions. All openings have rendered reveals
and hood moulds. Interior. All renewed internal walling of c1970. Stairs
replaced. Right hand ground floor window and light to former stair in left
hand gable wall original. Inner face of external walls of flint with
diapering in one upper room. C19 roof.
