Lodge. 1830s. Red brick with stone dressings; large-slate, steeply
pitched roof; stone pitched coped verge parapets on corbelled kneelers
and with finials; twin shafted side and ridge stacks. T-shaped plan.
Tudor style. Road front of 2 storeys and two windows; raised string at
first floor level. Small, projecting central gable with stone mullioned
two-light first floor window over 4-light mullioned ground floor window
(occupying full width of projection and with matching side-lights
beyond thick corner posts), single light window to left of building;
(all windows have elaborately patterned lights) right hand side filled
by massive side stack. Entrance on right side facing drive with single
storey gabled porch and Tudor-arch doorway, the porch and drive side of
rear wing are stone faced.
