Mid C19. Red brick; single storey and attic. Front has three recessed panels with corbel courses and two two-light mullioned windows with stone sills extending as bands verall. Central covered way with pointed-arched head and moulded stone cornice hood; corbelled brick eaves; tiles.
Probably built as an almshouse. No. 39 tied with rear of No. 38, is C17, timber-framed with plaster, panels of two storeys and having two old casement windows with leaded lights, plus two simple doorways.
