SK9902 (North side)
8/56 Nos.1, 2 and 3 Closes Villas

GV II

3 houses, Mid C18 and C19 datestones 1896 end 1903 refer to addition of
porches. Squared coursed limestone, parts rendered, with Collyweston slate
roofs. Originally one-and 2-unit plans. Single storey with attics, Nos. 2 and 3
together comprise a 3-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. 2 plank
doors, between window range, with elaborate wooden porches, dated 1913. 5 eaves
dormers to attic, with casement windows. Brick and stone stacks at ridge and
end. No.1 is a similar 2-window range attached to right; probably added C19.
Wood porch is dated 1896. Interior not inspected but Nos.2 and 3 probably have
remains of open fireplaces.
