Tomb and monument to Henry Raikes in north part of Overleigh Cemetery

Tomb, effigy and monument of Henry Raikes, Chancellor of
Chester Diocese. 1857. Designed by TM Penson, effigy and
carved panels by Thomas Earp. Yellow sandstone. Effigy on
table tomb under arched canopy with carved panels including
Crucifixion, north, and Christ healing, south. Inscription:
"HENRY RAIKES CHANCELLOR OF DIOCESE WHO DIED 28TH NOVEMBER

1854 AGED 72 YEARS".
