Undercroft and town house, now undercroft shop, Row shop and
storage. Probably late C18. Brown brick, Flemish bond to
front; roof concealed by parapet.
4 storeys including undercroft and Row. Modern shopfront to
the street frontage; plastered end-piers through undercroft
and Row storeys. Plain iron Row-front railing; stallboard
2.05m from front to back; 2 Doric-derived cast-iron columns;
modern shopfront of no interest; cornices. The third storey
has painted stone sills and 2 recessed 12-pane sashes with
painted wedge lintels. The fourth storey has sillband, 2
recessed 9-pane sashes with painted wedge lintels; a lead
rainwater head shared with No.20 Row (qv); parapet cornice of
painted stone; lateral chimney, east.
INTERIOR: features in undercroft and Row storeys are covered;
the over-Row parlour and partitions of the third storey are
largely intact; the roof structure, but no other features, are
visible in the fourth storey.
