Water mill and mill house. Circa early C19. Stone rubble. Slate roofs with gabled ends. Axial brick stacks with rebuilt brick shafts. PLAN : L-shaped on plan, with house to west, and mill in east wing with water wheel on east side. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Asymmetrical elevations with renewed casement windows, some with cambered arches. The north front of the mill has ground floor doorway on right with loading door above, with plank doors; iron overshot water wheel on east gable end.
INTERIOR: Mill contains wooden machinery; 2-step or spur-wheel drive, with two pairs of millstones complete with their tuns. Large wooden hurst frame; upright shaft with single spur-wheel and crown-wheel with bevel gearing all in wood. The stones floor and bin floor have chamfered beams and there is a king-post and tenoned-purlin roof The house has a tenoned-purlin roof and a large fireplace with cambered timber bressummer and oven.
NOTE: Kingswood Mill is situated on Doniford Stream.
