GV II

Gateway to entrance drive to Thorington Hall. Early C19. 4 painted square cast
iron piers, the design imitating stonework with chamfered rustication, each
with cornice and pedestal surmounted by a cast iron urn. Heavy iron railings
and gate with spearhead tops, the gateposts supported by scrolled cast iron
consoles, 2 to the outside, one to the inside.
