Farmhouse. C16. 2 storeys: 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed and
rendered, with simple C20 pargetting. C20 tiles, part Roman, part plaintiles.
An internal chimney-stack with a plain shaft. Various old casement windows,
2,3 and 4-light, with pintle hinges; one diamond-mullioned upper window. C20
plank door under an open lean-to veranda roof which runs along part of the
front. A C17 service wing projects on the north side, and a lean-to along the
west side, with a C20 exterior, but older core. The interior of the main
range has plain exposed joists and main beams; one partition wall removed;
chamfered sides and moulded caps to main posts. 3 open fireplaces in the
internal chimney-stack, on the upper floor with stone surround. A second
stack between the main range and the wing. Roof not examined.
