House. Circa 1720, probably by Sir John Vanbrugh. Whitewashed brick with slate
roof. Stacks to left end and rear left, Irregular cruciform plan. 2 storeys with
brick plat band over ground floor. 3 bays to front under gable/pediment. Sash
windows to first floor, central window in recessed panel with arch breaking up into
gable. Glazing bar sash windows to ground floor in blind arcade with projecting
keystones. Central half-glazed door with side windows and large traceried fanlight
above. Gable front, 2 bay range set back to right with rounded window in gable.
Glazing bar sash windows below. Left hand return front: plat band over ground floor
containing baroque projecting keystones ro ground floor glazing bar sash windows
in block surrounds. Brick dentil band to pediment.
Rear: 3 bays with dentilled pediment above . Centre half-glazed door in arched panel
with rusticated wuoins to surround, rusticated arch voussoirs above.
Interior: vaulted entrance hall.
