House now 2 dwellings. c.1800, possibly with earlier origins; C20 alterations.
Red brick in Flemish bond; plain tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Paired central
doors under canopy; the left one original, of 6 incised panels with wooden
architrave; the right one C20, panelled. Sashes with glazing bars with exposed
boxes, flat gauged brick arches and wooden cills (except for chamfered brick
cill to ground-floor, left, window). Stepped and dentilled eaves. End stacks.
Interior of No 70 has old panelled doors with L-hinges; panelled cupboards
flanking fireplace in front ground-floor room; straight-flight stair with
square-section landing balusters and gun-barrel-shaped newel.
