Terrace of 4 houses. c1835-45. Yellow stock brick and
rusticated stucco ground floors with plain 1st floor sill
bands. Nos 36 & 42 with slated mansard roofs and dormers. 3
storeys, Nos 36 & 42 with attics, and basements. 2 windows
each. Segmental-arched doorways with fluted quarter columns,
patterned fanlights and panelled doors. No.36 entrance on
return to Swinton Place. Gauged brick flat arches to recessed
sashes; 1st floor with cast-iron balconies. Stucco cornices
and blocking courses. INTERIORS: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY
FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings with tasselled spearhead
finials to areas.
