GV II

House. Mid C19, with earlier origins. Red brick in Flemish
bond, rough rendered to left return, colourwashed to right
return and rear. Welsh slate roof. Original section L-shaped,
with 2-room, central entrance-hall front and wing to rear
left; later infill in rear angle.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3-window range; symmetrical. Entrance has
Doric doorcase with pilasters and hood; recessed 6-panelled
door beneath plain overlight. Flanking ground-floor canted
wooden bay windows with central 2/2 sashes, moulded cornice
and hipped roof. Small 1/1 sash to left of door beneath
segmental brick arch. First-floor 2/2 sashes in architraves
with bracketed sills, the central window narrower. Wooden
eaves board with carved brackets carrying corniced wooden
gutter. Corniced end stacks. Pair of H-shaped wrought-iron
tie-bar ends to right gable.
