Coach house relating to country house (qv). 1851 datestone for E C (Edward Carlyon). Local red rubble stone with granite dressings; dry slate hipped roof; brick stack at left end and rear lateral stack on right. Long rectangular plan with grooms accommodation over probable former stables at either end and 3 carriage houses to the centre. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys: symmetrical 3:3:3-bay (2:3:2-window) front with the central bays broken forward. Original hornless. sashes to right-hand bays, those to 1st floor with glazing bars, other windows are transomed 2-light casements. Round-arched windows to ground floor plus flat-arched doorways flanking the forward break and 3 large elliptically-arched carriage doorways to centre; ledged doors; mid-floor string.
INTERIOR not inspected except to note wooden partition to tack area on right. This building is part of an important group of buildings relating to Tregrehan House.
