Detached villa. c1850-54; altered. Red brick in Flemish bond
with painted sandstone dressings, fishscale slate roof with
red cockscomb ridge tiles. Tudor style. Irregular plan formed
by single-depth double-fronted main range with large back
extension.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Wide gabled bay to the
left breaks forward slightly and is slightly overlapped by a
square flat-roofed porch to the centre. This has a wide
Tudor-arched doorway with chamfered stone surround, hoodmould
and double doors with glazed panels.
To the left the gabled bay has a cross-window at ground floor
with lintel hoodmould, to the right is a canted bay window
under a pentice roof, and the first floor has wooden mullioned
casements of 3, 2 and 3 Tudor-arched lights, all with lintel
hoodmoulds.
The gable has a small blank shield and oversailing verges.
Left return has a canted bay window.
