Mile post. Circa 1825, for the Newport Pagnell to Woburn turnpike Trust. A cast-iron post of triangular section, open at the back, the triangular front sweeping back and up to a segmental-headed back-plate. Raised cast lettering reading, on the top, between lines, LONDON / 50. On the left, NEWPORT, and on the right, WOBURN / 8«.
