Sewer Vent Column

GV II

Sewer vent column. Circa 1870. Manufacturer W Macfarlane and Co. Glasgow. Cast iron. Comprises circular column of two lengths of pipe, the lower with wider base, the upper with Corinthian capital with ball fitting and spike with filigree crown. One of a series of similar sewer vent columns at Herne Bay.
