Chimney and boilerhouse. 1904. Dressed stone with ashlar dressings and stone slate roof. Chamfered plinth.
Octagonal chimney shaft, with alternately broad and narrow facades. The narrow facades have bold ashlar rustication blocks with scroll console brackets at the base. Broad sections have tall segment headed openings with louvres. Ashlar upper section has moulded cornice and battlements with curved parapets and merlons. Single storey lean-to boilerhouse and coal store on either side.
This chimney was designed to serve the Wyke secondary and infant schools.
