Municipal swimming pool. 1900-3. By Thomas Simpson. Stock
brick and red brick with stone dressings. Roof part slate,
part glazed. Arts and Crafts Free-Style. Part of a complex
with St Luke's School (qv), the caretaker's house (qv) and
railings (qv). Gable with elaborate central oculus with swags
below and entablature with 3 paired casements. 2 stone bands.
Entrance to left has cambered arch. Plinth. Side elevation of
6 bays with red brick piers and cambered blank arch. Left side
has one storey wing with 4 sashes and metal and wooden cupola.
