Terraced house, now club. Early C19. Brick laid in Flemish
bond and mathematical tiles to bays, all now painted; roof
obscured by parapet.
3 storeys over basement with dormers, 3-window range and
double-fronted. Steps up to central elliptical-arched entrance
with overlight and panelled reveals, the entrance framed by a
doorcase consisting of engaged Roman Doric columns and
entablature with triglyph frieze carrying an open segmental
pediment with modillions; passage entrance to left. 2-storey
segmental bays to either side with tripartite windows,
modillion cornice renewed, semi-dome and sashes of original
design, presumably renewed; central flat-arched window under a
head of gauged brick, with sash of original design to first
floor; paired windows over bays to second floor, and
flat-arched central window, frames and sashes on this floor
all renewed; parapet with urns at either end. Function room to
rear with octagonal domed ceiling and no fittings of special
interest.
