Detached house, later hotel, now a retirement home. Early C19,
much altered and added to. Stucco, roof of slate.
2 storeys, scattered fenestration. Flat-arched entrance on the
north side framed by antae and entablature; storey band. South
front set out symmetrically with hipped wings to either side
and segmental bays in the angles; the ground floor between the
wings now obscured by a late C20 addition; single-storey bays
to either wing, that to the left canted; stacks to side walls
and ridges.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Wall of coursed cobbles with half-round brick coping, of
varying heights, runs along the north side of the building
with 3 brick piers much repaired, and extends along the west
side of the building and beyond for approx 70m.
