Terraced house. Early C19. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
with dressings probably of gauged brick, but now painted over,
stucco, roof obscured by parapet.
3 storeys, 3-window range. Prostyle Roman Doric porch,
round-arched entrance with fanlight and panelled reveals; all
windows flat-arched; full-height segmental bay to left with 2
windows on each floor; only the second floor windows and the
first-floor right-hand window have their original shape and
sashes of original design; modillion cornice and blocking
cornice; side stacks; plaque commemorating the fact that
William Friese-Greene carried out his original cinematographic
experiments in this house.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Cast-iron area railings with
spearhead and urn finials.
