Barn, stable and shelter shed
immediately north of Thelsford
Farmhouse

Barn and stable with adjacent shelter shed forming 2 sides of
yard. Early C19. Brick with gabled tile roofs.
EXTERIOR: north range comprises barn with stable to west. Top
dentilled brick cornice. South side has stable entrance with
blocked segmental head; flanking segmental-headed windows and
pitching hole above. Barn has segmental-headed threshing floor
entrance with paired doors, with projecting shelter shed to
right, which has 2 entrances in enclosed section to left of
open section with timber posts and short return with hipped
roof. West end has small attached stable with catslide outshut
to right of stable door; east end has inserted entrance. Rear
has threshing floor entrance in porch to left of gabled wing
with altered windows.
INTERIOR: of barn has brick piers supporting queen-strut
trusses with truncated principals.
Part of an early C19 farmyard group.
