Terrace of 3 houses. c1870. Possibly by John Gibson. For
Compton Verney estate. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings
and red, buff and blue brick cogged and modillioned cornice;
gabled tile roofs with buff brick cross-axial stacks with
caps. 4-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range plus cross-wing to each
end. Coped gables. Central entrance and re-entrant entrances
have segmental-pointed heads to plank doors with strap hinges
behind open timber gabled porches.
Ground floor has segmental-pointed rock-faced relieving arches
over windows of 3 segmental-pointed lights with stop-chamfered
mullions and small light next to each end entrance; attic has
similar 2-light windows to gabled half-dormers and small
lights between dormers and wings, which have 3-light windows
with a narrow light above. Rear has a number of wings and
brick window openings.
