GV II

House. Early C18 with later alterations and C20 additions.
Brick with buff headers and ashlar dressings; renewed tile
roof, incorporating some old tiles, with coped gables and
brick end stacks. Georgian style.
PLAN: central staircase plan; gable facing, front to Warwick
Street to left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range; centre breaks
forward under continuation of roof. Stone plat band over
ground floor and top stone cornices flanking centre. Entrance
has architrave with key block to half-glazed door. Windows
have sills, and rusticated wedge lintels with key blocks over
2-light small-paned casements.
C20 extension to right with front and return oriels, the rear
incorporating C19 single-storey wing with small-paned window
and casement flanking entrance and blocked end entrance. Left
return has brick plat band and blind Venetian-type opening to
first floor; small attic window. Rear has large C20
single-storey flat-roofed addition.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Important contribution to churchyard of Church of St Peter,
Warwick Road (qv).
