3 houses. C18 with later additions and alterations including
those of C19. Reddish brick in Flemish bond with plain-tile
roofs. Each house has 2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys throughout with attics; 8-window range. 3
entrances have panelled doors with wood doorcases, 2 with
scrolled brackets and hoods, one with open pediment.
2 houses to left each have a canted bay window and a 3-light
casement to ground floor; house to right has canted bay
windows flanking entrance, that to left with multi-pane
windows, that to right with 8/8 between 4/4 sashes. First
floor: 4 wooden mullion and transom windows all under cambered
arches; 2 8/8 sashes under flat arches with keystones, one
multi-pane casement and one mock 8/8 sash with similar
surrounds. First-floor band to right only.
Dentil eaves band. Velux roof lights to centre house. End,
ridge and internal stacks with cornices. House to left is
taller.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
All listed buildings on The Green form a group.
Baytree Cottage and The Old House were originally listed
5/4/67.
