House. C15 origin, C17 additions, C20 restorations and
alterations. Painted timber frame with painted brick and
rendered infill panels, stone rubble, painted cement
rendering. Plain-tile roofs, with 2 pitches of old tile banded
with new. Stone ridge stack. L-shaped plan of 2-bay former
open hall range and 2-bay cross wing.
EXTERIOR: single storey and single storey and attic.
North-east entrance front with, to right, projecting cross
wing gable of extensively renewed close-studding to gable
truss and first storey with straight tie beam and C20
casement, jettied over stone ground-storey wall containing
2-light casement. To left is hall range of square framing 3
panels high with 2-light and 3-light casements. Left return
side of gable with close studded first storey over flat
projecting canopy and C19 boarded front door.
South-east gable end: former full cruck truss now truncated
below first-floor level and set on a stone rubble wall.
South west side: to left is slightly advanced stone gable of
cross wing with 2-light casement at each storey. To right is
hall range with left bay with raised eaves of rendered wall
and one 2-light casement to each floor. Door to left with
projecting tiled gabled porch.
North-west side: close-studded framing above stone ground
storey, which has 2-light casement to left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
