Shop. Mid C19. Probably part of the design of Butchers' Row to
the designs of RD Gould. Stuccoed; roof concealed behind
parapet. On a prominent corner site at the junction of
Butchers' Row and Boutport Street.
2 storeys. Ground floor of both elevations arcaded and
infilled with glazing, with radial glazing bars in the heads.
3 bays to Butchers' Row and 2 to Boutport Street. Round-headed
moulded arches spring from plain piers with moulded imposts.
Above the arcade a deep cornice and platband. First floor has
12-pane sashes in eared, shouldered architraves with
keyblocks. Band below deep projecting, bracketed eaves
cornice; parapet. Doorway on Butchers' Row side in central
bay.
INTERIOR: not inspected but may retain features of interest. A
robust classical design, including an important corner site.
