Gothic House

GV II

House. Late C18/early C19 with later C19 alterations.
Red brick in Flemish bond. Welsh slate roof with painted
moulded eaves cornice and brick end stack on left.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellar. 2-window range, on 1st floor
of 6/6 boxed sashes with painted channelled voussoirs,
keystones, and moulded sills. Similar smaller 3/6 sashes
above.
Ground floor: on left, canted bay-window with pitched leaded
roof, deep enriched cornice, plate glazing with Gothick
tracery, and stone sill; to right, 4-panel door below fanlight
with radial glazing bars in 4-centred-arched moulded stone
surround with hoodmould; to right again, 6-panel door below
stone lintel with similarly-arched recess; stone plinth with
cellar grilles.
