House. C17 extended C19, with C18, C19 and C20 alterations. Rubblestone ground floor, part replaced with breeze-block, with timber framing above, part replaced, painted render to front. Wing timber framed on rubblestone plinth, part with weatherboard cladding; additions of painted brick with weatherboard and tile hung upper sections. Plain tile roofs, front roof pitch with C20 replacement concrete tiles. Brick stacks. Originally 2 storeys, front raised to 3 storeys; 2 bays; with 2-storey wing to rear left to which a single-storey side outshut was added (at rear of right bay of front range); wing further extended C19. Front elevation: on right, 2 stone steps up to 4-panel door in moulded architrave. Two 3-light windows to ground floor, two 2-light windows to 1st floor all with C20 small pane casements, and single central unequally-hung 12 pane sash to 2nd floor (all windows with C20 hardwood sills). Left return: casement windows to wing. Rear: front range has some exposed rubblestone and rafter feet; external stack (rebuilt late C20). Wing has a brick ridge stack and the outshut a 9-pane sash to side and a 4-pane sash to gable end. Interior: front range: large-scantling chamfered spine-beams with lambs-tongue stops. On ground floor, right room has board wainscot; two 6-panel doors in reeded architraves with roundels in spandrels; similar fireplace with pulvinated surround; and quarry tile floor. Left room has part panelled and part-boarded wainscot and shallow moulded ceiling cornice (the panelling and cornice of late-C18 style). Wooden winder stair with small section of late C18 style balustrade, having tapered square section columnar newel and square-section balusters. Two 2-panel doors and wall safe to 1st floor. Wooden winder stair up to attic: cross walls at left and centre have posts between tie-beam and collar, and clasped purlins. Later roof structure above. Wing has some exposed timber framing at rear, and cross beams and tie-beams; truss adjoining front range has jowelled wall-posts, evidence of former braces up to tie-beam, and wall plates; later roof structure. The building retains significant elements of the C17 structure, with later C18 and C19, features of interest.
