Bridge. c1830-40. Architect, John Forbes. Stone. Horizontal
rustication. Balustraded parapets. 2 off-centre urns to each
side. Central coat of arms.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Pittville was developed for Joseph Pitt,
1825-42, the general layout being designed by John Forbes with
Pittville Park as its centrepiece.
One of a pair of bridges crossing Pittville Lake. 'An
accomplished and subtle design', (Verey).
