GV II*

House, possibly originally inn, part now offices. Early C18.
Brick with stone dressings and low pitched slate roof.
3 storeys; 6-window range, with central arched entry leading
to rear yard. House to left of passage has doorway in simply
moulded architrave to left, two 12-pane sash windows to right.
Offices to right have entrance in passage. Two 12-pane sash
windows to ground floor of street front. First floor windows
are 15-pane sashes, except 1st-floor window over passage which
is a 12-pane sash. 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor. All windows
have flat-arched gauged brick heads with plastered keystones.
String courses between the storeys, angle quoins and vertical
bands in parapet all stone. Stack on front wall to left of
passageway.
INTERIOR: right-hand section includes splat baluster
staircase, and oak panelling to front room incorporating
integral cupboards.
