House, now offices. Dated 1874, with C19 and C20 alterations.
Brick with stone dressings and slate roof with single side
wall and ridge stacks. Chamfered plinth and eaves, first floor
band, coped gables with kneelers.
2 storeys, 3 bays. East front, to James Street, has a central
panelled door flanked by 3-light cross mullioned windows, all
under a cornice with patterned tile frieze. Above, a plain
sash. To the right, a rounded bay window, 3 storeys, with
conical roof and a 3-light mullioned window on each floor. To
the left, 2 plain sashes and above, a canted stone oriel
window, 3 lights, on corbels and with a conical roof. South
gable, to Eastgate, has a canted bay window with parapet and
iron crest, and above it, a double sash with cornice. To the
left, a set back gabled wing and a flat roofed addition, C19
and C20.
